Iceland Ferry

Well, we’ve been at sea now for one full day with 823 nautical miles to go and none of the group is hanging over the boat rail praying to the sea gods!! It’s a good day!  Some Pic’s below of our departure point, Hirtshals, DK and the car loading process.

Being at sea for a few days will actually be a huge change from our normal hectic driving schedule. It’s actually kind of boring as you are in a captive environment with no where to go and the only scenery is open sea. In the car there is always some new adventure happening….granted some better than others! Anyway, the ship is a time for rest and relaxation which I think the group can use. We do stop at the Faroe Islands today around 5:30 PM for about 1 hour, so that should break up the day.

I’ve not run into any Americans on board…mostly all European, Scandinavian and Baltic. Lots of languages being spoken, however almost everyone speaks English….at least its easy to order a beer!!

Onward to Iceland and continued adventure!!!!!
